Task

Fearless Praisers, a dynamic Gospel Choir based in the UK. They needed help with their promotional communication. Needing an overhall redesign meant that our "FULL BUSINESS PACKAGE" (logo, stationery, print solutions and responsive website) was the best solution.

Strategy

Working on this project was both fun and challenging. Fearless Praisers gave off the aura of fun, young, colourful and current with latest trends. We had to ensure that our work reflected this. While keeping things fresh and funky, staying true to their objectives and color schemes was important to them.

Result

Working closely with Fearless Praisers during the DESIGN process was very important. Once all the bases were covered; we progressed into the development stage. See below for detailed results.

Logo Design

We were informed that their colour scheme is purple and gold, upon conducting our research; we discovered that the colour scheme has a distinct “royal” effect and are very common in Christian dresses. Designing a logo that portrays their “Fearless-ness” and Faith was very important.

During the logo sketching stage, we discovered that SHIELDS generally represents protection, ready to stand, resolve etc. which sits well with FEARLESSNESS. Settling on drawings to represent FAITH wasn’t an easy task; we ended up settling with DOVE, which is a symbol of the soul and Holy Spirit that portrays peace and purity. Combining the DOVE with OLIVE BRANCH represents NEW BEGININGS, which has its ties with Biblical story.

With several solid ideas down, we attempted to combine, removing elements that were unnecessary or simply didn't work. Adobe illustrator was used to develop the designs as it allows the logo to scale to any size without distorting/pixelating. The shield was coloured purple with a gold trim; this allowed the golden dove with olive branch to stand out.

While their musical aspect was absent from the design, we discovered that combining words with the symbol would give more meaning to the logo. Including FEARLESS PRAISERS with the logo meant that it’s easier to distinguish what they do. The words were stacked on top of each other and coloured purple, with gold line separating them.

Business Stationery

After the logo, business stationery influences how others see your business. Therefore having a high quality and consistent design is key. How does this work? if your stationery looks cheap and sloppy, this will create the same negative image in your customers mind, they will start viewing your products/services as cheap and sloppy.

When beginning the design for Fearless Praisers stationery; we had to consider what colour scheme would work best, what information to include, type of fonts and many more. Main emphasis was to keep the design simple and minimal, therefore we ensured that purple background, gold and white texts were consistent all through the designs.

Overall, it turned out to be a very pleasant design with a clean look.

In this digital age, it'll be right to conlude that PRINT IS DEAD. This statement has been buzzing around the marketing world since the start of the digital age.

Responsive Web Design

Now to put the finishing touches on the whole project. From the project brief, we were strictly informed that the website needs to be viewable on all devices, smartfones, tablets and desktops. The challenge was accepted, at F-Sharp Media, we believe that we are one of the pioneers of Responsive Web Design.
